Overview

The Wave 723 sports a streamlined rectangular design with curvy edges, and the rear battery cover forged out of aluminium. It is also bit more compact compared to the original Wave, at 109.5 x 53.9 x 11.8 mm. It sports a 3.2 inch capacitive LCD display of WQVGA (240×400-pixel) resolution, with three physical buttons underneath it, menu key in the middle, flanked by the send and end buttons. The screen boasts of pretty decent sunlight legibility, even if you don?t crank up the brightness.

The sides house the volume rocker, the lock/power button & the camera shutter key. The top houses the microUSB port with a sliding cover, and on the back we have the back panel made from light brushed aluminum, which adds to the solid feel of the phone. The mobile has a classy design with some high-end elements, fits nice in the hand, and feels solid.

Samsung has added an interesting design feature to the S7233 in the form a leather cover for the screen. It attaches to the bottom of the phone, and needs to be flipped open everytime you want to use the screen. It sure is a great way to protect the screen against scratches but might get annoying while trying to type on the virtual keypad. Thankfully, it is detachable and you can remove without too much of fiddling.

The Wave S7233 supports 3G HSDPA (at 7.2 Mbps) & Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity. It also comes with the latest Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP. The mobile comes with Social Hub social networking support, it intergrates your phonebook with your Inbox & Social Networking Feeds negating the need to multiple windows for accessing different apps.
